I met my boyfriend last summer, and this summer, he left for an exchange year abroad. He won’t be back until next summer. Summer is the essence of our love and the child-like joy we find in the simple things we do together, like our walks to the grocery store together and having picnics on the living room floor when it’s too rainy to go outside.
The Chinese characters come from a very old love song “The Moonlight Represents My Heart” by Teresa Teng, which holds a very nostalgic and personal value to me, while the dates are special significant moments in our relationship.. When we finally meet again, that day too will be written and remembered.

The moon represents your heart..I know the moon is there even if I do not see it. The moon lits the dark night, too. Even you both are far apart, you share the same dark sky where the moon shines and smiles to you both, warming your hearts with joy and peace, knowing you will be together again. And…the stars represents your five nosey siblings…lol! Oh but one sibling is bong chacha…the whole world knows and he’s always the last to know….LOL!
