How interesting the way the three pumpkin sections merge visually to look like a single composite pumpkin. But the fall flourish next to the text is what brings the whole thing together. Love it!

Pumpkin Carving 08

by Denise Gormish

Category: holidays

Description:

Journaling: With soccer in full swing, autumn flew. It became clear on Halloween morning when I realized that we had not carved the pumpkins yet. I set out the supplied and gutted the oblong orange pumpkin. I saved the seeds and drew the design on the pumpkin. Jennifer started the carving process. Using the little sawing device, Jennifer followed the lines and removed the space for the two eyes and the nose. After she finished, I completed the pumpkin by carving the mouth, being extra careful around the teeth. I think we made a perfect pumpkin carving team.
